Seriously ImpressedReview by Cynthia
I have been kayaking in my daughter`s (brand name I won`t reveal) kayaks and totally enjoy my experiences. My daughter bought me my own kayak for my birthday. I was totally floored by how much more I enjoyed kayaking in the Patriot 10.4 SI. The tracking, and maneuverability was so much easier. The amazing stability, nice roomy cockpit and storage is just icing on the cake. I have to admit I did enjoy showing off a bit as I (Mom) had to continually stop to wait on her (Daughter) to catch up. ; ) (Posted on 9/28/2017)
tracks great!!!Review by rabbit
I bought one of these new yak offerings after finding them to be nice appearing feature-wise & appealing eye candy. Well, after a maiden voyage with the usual water challenges, I found it to be quite capable for a rec boat -and, the "tracking" ability was AMAZING. This thing keeps straight like it is on rails...none of the usual corrections required, the best of ANY 10 ft boat I've ever been in (a few). It performance was good in all other areas -it turns reasonably well and will surf. It seems to like more of a white water paddle rather than a longer cruising feather. By-the-way, the hull on these is heavier than usual for comparable boats (check the weight). The only thing I'll have to attend to is the seat -always a personal thing.

Patriot Sit in 10.4 Tangerine KayakReview by Quartz Guardian
I am new to Kayaking and spent over 2 months of research before deciding to buy a Patriot 10.4 sit in Tangerine Kayak.
I wanted Stability as well as tracking ability.
I like the way this Kayak is designed as it tracks super well and I never felt tipsy.
I was able to turn with the use of the oars and move along at a steady pace.
This Kayak never once glided anywhere I had not directed it to go..
This was my first time ever in a Kayak and after a few min of realizing how stable this Kayak is.
I really enjoyed 2 1/2 hours with no stress and no effort or exhaustion paddling.
Getting in and out of this Kayak was super easy.
My only training was You Tube videos watching instructors teach about paddling and entering exiting.
I know I made the right choice and I look forward to many hours Kayaking in Calm waters this summer.
This Kayak offers a super sporty look that will turn some heads.
If your looking for a Stable Kayak with Super tracking as well as great looks.
This Kayak is for you.
I was able to move along quite well considering this was my first time out.
This Kayak is stable for people who want to go fishing.
I was able to pick up the Kayak and walk off with it with no issues.

Q & A

Q1: Can I buy a spray skirt for my Kayak? If so, where?

A1: Only sit-in kayaks can accept spray skirts, but not all of them do. It all depends on the size of the cockpit and the shape of the lip. Some cockpit dimensions are shown on the product detail page. If you don’t see your cockpit dimensions, you can use a tape measure and check the width and length of your cockpit including the lip. To purchase spray skirts, please visit www.sealsskirts.com.

Q2: Regarding the «weight capacity» to a specific kayak, is there a general rule that applies whether it should suit me or not?

A2: The weight capacity stated on the kayak documentation represent the maximum weight the kayak can hold to be fully usable. For a more comfortable ride, always look for a kayak that has a weight capacity approximately 30 to 40lbs above your actual weight. It’s even more important for sit-on top kayaks as the closer you are to the weight limit, the deeper will the line of floatation be, resulting in more water coming into the kayak from the scupper holes.

Q3: Where do I find the Serial/Warranty #?

A3: Your kayak’s serial number is located behind the seat or on the rear left hand side (when looking at your kayak from the front). Please use this number in order to register your kayak on the Registration section of our website.

Q4: What is the best way to store my kayak?

A4: The ideal way to store a kayak is to sit it on a flat surface. If your kayak remains outdoors, you should keep it covered and out of direct sunlight. Do not leave any straps tightly clinched around your kayak for long periods, especially in warm weather. This could distort the shape of the kayak. For an easy storage and access to your kayak, we recommend to take a look at the different options in the Accessories section of our website.

Q5: I would like to put a rudder system on my kayak, is it possible?

A5: None of our kayaks comes with a rudder system. Even if there are third party rudder system available on the market, we do not recommend the use of any specific one. The installation of a rudder system is done at your own risk. Please note that any permanent alteration of your kayak hull will result in the cancellation of the warranty.
